Appointments can be made by calling in person or by telephoning the surgery during opening hours. Urgent appointments can only be made after consultation with a member of the clinical staff. If necessary an appointment will be given to see the available doctor and these are recorded.
Failure to attend appointment without notifying the surgery in advance.
These appointments are very valuable. Please let us know if you cannot make your appointment as soon as possible (ideally 24 hours) so that this appointment can then be given to another patient. If you do not attend more than 3 times in twelve months without informing the practice - at the doctor's discretion you may be removed from the practice list.
If you need advice please leave a message with the receptionist including your telephone number and the purpose of the call. The doctor will return your call when the time permits or might ask you to come to the surgery to discuss it further.
Test Results - for test results please call after 12 noon as the practice will be less busy.
In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly. Appointments with the nurse should be booked through reception.
